A quick checklist for marketplace sellers

The website name and the actual seller are not always the same.

Check who sells the item, who dispatches it, and whether it is new, used or refurbished. Read the condition description rather than relying on the main product photo.

Look at recent seller feedback and the delivery estimate. For unfamiliar brands, check the manufacturer’s product information and make sure the model, voltage and plug are suitable for the UK.

Read the return instructions and who pays return postage. Keep payment on the retailer’s platform; do not follow requests to pay a seller privately to get a better deal.
